Meet the team

He is responsible for overseeing and managing private market transactions, including investments in private equity, debt instruments, warrants, digital tokens, and other alternative assets. Rafał coordinates cross-functional collaboration among investment, legal, compliance, valuation, and accounting teams, and works closely with several leading law firms. Beyond his professional role, Rafał is actively involved in educational and training initiatives aimed at promoting financial and investment literacy. He is the co-creator of Market Masters, a live stock market simulation game where participants apply their knowledge to manage a virtual capital fund worth one million dollars. The project’s goal is to popularize economic and investment knowledge while offering an engaging and interactive learning experience for those interested in capital markets.

Lecturer in full-time and part-time programs in International Relations, Journalism and Social Communication, National Security, Public Management, and AI: Artificial Intelligence (AMU in Poznań), as well as in the Postgraduate Studies in Behavioral Analysis and Lie Detection (AMU in Poznań), the Postgraduate Studies in Innovation in Medicine and Healthcare (Medical University of Warsaw), and the Executive MBA program (Warsaw School of Economics). Certified ICF coach and certified trainer in Insights Discovery, FRIS, and Gallup Strengths. Holds project management certifications including Prince2, TenStep, and Scrum. Recipient of multiple Rector’s Awards for outstanding teaching achievements.

Principal investigator of 21 research grants (2004–2024), lead coordinator and contributor in 28 projects, and member or chair of program and scientific councils in  two additional projects. Currently serves as Chairman of the Council of the Western Institute in Poznań.

For almost five years, I have been with Franklin Templeton — for four years as a Corporate Actions Analyst, and currently as a Portfolio Compliance Analyst.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge and discussing finance and investing in a simple, relatable way. That’s why I’m involved in the Market Masters project. Additionally, as a volunteer, I participate in the EduAkcja initiative (in cooperation with Franklin Templeton, the GPW Foundation, the Warsaw Institute of Banking, and CFA Society Poland), where I conduct online classes for high school students across Poland about the basics of saving and investing.

I graduated in Political Science from Adam Mickiewicz University and in Finance and Accounting (specialization: finance, audit, taxation) from the Poznań University of Economics.

I would describe myself as a supporter of passive (lazy? 😊) investing. I’m passionate about both civil and military aviation, and in my free time, I enjoy reading travel or war reportage books. I love Asian cuisine for its diversity of flavors and Italian cuisine for its simplicity and speed.

I’m driven by my wife, three children, and a quote from Macbeth:

“Intentions are but wind when not paired with execution.”

Since 2014, he has been pursuing a career in the investment fund industry, currently primarily in the areas of private equity/private credit and venture capital. Father, rower, husband, hiker, and fan of well-written screenplays. His motto: "Only the effect counts."
